Why Learning From Mistakes Necessary?

When you are learning something new from homework, friendships, sports, writing, research, etc then there is a maximum chance and possibility that error occurs. When we learn from our mistakes then actually we are doing ourselves a favor to learn to do tasks differently. That’s a reason that captivates and encourages us to try something new and solve problems through innovative techniques.                                                               “I have never felt I was wasting time. Science is a process of trial and error. The only sure way to avoid making mistakes is to have no ideas.”  ~ Albert Einstein

Learning From Mistakes Improves Confidence:

For example, if A tutor trained the student with the same algebraic problem over and over again then surely he will remember the steps and answer. When the algebraic questions come in exams then he already knows the steps, so he just finishes the task within a small time, and from this, he acquires confidence, and motivation for solving problems.

This approach towards getting knowledge through practicing and learning predicts that if students are allowed to make mistakes then help them to solve. Studies have found that learning from mistakes increases learning ability.

Different Techniques To Help The Child Learn From Their Mistakes:

You cannot teach someone to go through hurdles while letting them go through the mistakes then they will be more careful towards problems ad mistakes. Resultantly, they will make mistakes, a shinning strength, confidence will come forward from their mistakes. And that’s  how you make your children special through learning from mistakes

Encouraging Your Child When Mistakes Happen:

Learning from mistakes and failures isn’t easy and sweet as sugar. All people including children, including young, adults need encouragement to learn and succeed. Positive expressions and words from parents, teachers, and mentors during the phase of learning are essential for a child’s growth and development. Talk about mistakes and lessons learned during daily activities or weekly activities like dinner or mealtime. When someone in the family makes a mistake, instead of discouraging him/her you can also practice saying, “What you can learn from this?”

You Must Be a Role Model:

You can explain that failure is a part of life and happens to everyone on this planet, even me and you. You could share examples of failures you’ve had in your past. Parents can model and have answers on how to handle disappointment or discouragement, “such as losing out on a promotion at the job”. Dr. Mintzer says, “Kids are not necessarily exposed to the reality of the world that our life includes a lot of mistakes, missteps, and even disappointments. As much as everyone in this world likes to go through according to the plan, it’s vital to teach our children that it is also fine when they don’t.”
